Specs and Artwork
Artwork
The following files are our preferred formats any others may incur an extra cost. Adobe Illustrator CS(eps), Corel Draw, Quark Express , and Adobe Indesign. In some cases a PDF may be acceptable as each job is treated individually according to your requirements. JPEG, BMP, TIFF, are not acceptable for artwork. All fonts are to be converted to outlines and attached.
Proofs and Films
A colour proof is required for each job outlining each colour separation. Films are to be positives, right reading, emulsion up and at 100% scale. The lowest recommended stipple is 15% lower may be achieved in offset printing.
Key Line
Plastafab will supply you with a key line (print side up) where possible this will outline all folds and creases for you to place your artwork. Please allow 3mm bleed of the edge and note that printing may not hold on welded or scored areas so an instep may be required.
Colour Matching
On substrates other than white it is not possible to achieve colour PMS matching unless a white underpass is added and in some cases this may not be possible due to small fonts etc. please keep this in mind when deciding your artwork. A maximum of 35% ink coverage is allowed in the quotation unless specified in the quotation.
Adjustments
Any artwork adjustments may incur an extra cost so please check artwork design prior to final sign off if quoted sight unseen as the cost may vary at final sighting of artwork.
